My friend Eric created a challenge for January 2012. 31 runs in 31 days. Every run had to be at least 30 minutes long. If you missed a day you had to run twice on another day. Thankfully I didn’t miss one. I rarely take a day off running so that part was easy. My challenge was the length because I usually run for 20 minutes once or twice a week. Other challenges were running with a sinus cold for a few days and the unpredictable Ottawa winter weather.
When I posted the 31 in 31 challenge on Facebook one of friends replied that she does a 30 day trial every month. So far she has given up caffeine, sugar and wheat. She finds them useful because 30 days is long enough to feel the effects of the trial, but not so long that you think you’ve got to make the change *forever.*
I love the monthly challenge idea and decided to go for it and have a different trial every month in 2012. For February it’s 29 days of My Yoga On-line. I have a busy month ahead and want to make sure I get my yoga in. Yoga classes on-line or via apps are easy and efficient ways of doing a practice. I look forward to experiencing different styles and teachers. I hope to learn some new things to share in class. Want to try My Yoga On-line? Send me your email address to receive 2 weeks free.
Ideas for upcoming challenges are:

- meditating for 20 minutes each morning instead of my usual 11

- complete my runner’s yoga app
- work on my projects for at least 1hr a day

- blog 3 times a week
